Terms & conditions of reviewing for Bookideas.com
Ok, so it's really only one statement, thus the pluralization above is uneccessary, and in truth I suppose this one statement is more properly called a condition than a term. Either way, here it is:
- The book reviews and anything else you submit for posting here at bookideas.com become the nonexclusive property of bookideas.com. By submitting a review to this site, you are granting bookideas.com rights to use that review at bookideas.com (or other review sites that may spawn from it), for the life of the site(s). You will always receive credit for the reviews you write.
What does that mean in straight english? It means you are free to post your reviews and writings in other places. We do not demand exclusivity. It would be best if you alter your review slightly for each place you post of course, but even that is not required. It also means that once you post something here, it generally stays in the database. We've never had someone ask to have their reviews removed, but it's not something we want to get into at any point. The site should always be growing, never shrinking. Finally, it also means that your name will always be attached to the reviews you write, unless we discuss a good reason for doing otherwise and have your approval.
