As a youth growing up in the Northern California Bob use to haunt the discount and used bookstores in San Francisco and Oakland. After graduating from U.C. Berkeley with an English degree, Bob's love of literature took him into the classroom where he spent the next 39 years sharing his enthusiasm for reading and writing with his students.

Since 1971 Bob has also been producing freelance articles and book reviews for newspapers, magazines and various websites. He is rapidly closing in on having had 5,000 of his articles and reviews published in print or on line.

Never having lost his love of reading and books, Bob has continued to try to excite others about the wide range of literature available today. Retired since 2003, the Monterey, California, resident continues to use his weekly newspaper columns and various book review websites to entice people to pick up a good book and read.
