Diana Rohini LaVigne
Diana Rohini LaVigne is the Online Editor for Indian Life & Style Magazine and India-West. Prior to this position, Ms. LaVigne had a weekly column 'Rohini Chat' in South Asian Insider which profiled South Asians in the arts and has been doing ongoing assignments for India New England, Rivaaj Magazine, Couture Asia and Lokvani as a freelancers.
Ms. LaVigne has been part of the Indian community for many years in Boston, New York, New Jersey, Florida, and California. Her accomplishments include being part of the founding team of Samta International that helps new Indian immigrants adjust to living in America, producing an educational video for the Dreams of Freedom Immigrant Museum, and launching an annual India Day program on television to cross promote Indian culture and celebrate India's Independence day.
Educated at Harvard University, she continued her education after her Ivy League days by studying at Hebrew University for a Master's in Theology. From there she worked for years as a publicist, while working as a journalist on the side. Several years ago, she switched the focus solely towards writing. Art, culture, business, community, emerging leaders, fashion, non-profit have been the areas Ms. LaVigne most covers.
In addition to writing, she is a certified digital editor and producer and also an award-winning photographer. Currently she is a member of Silicon Valley Indian Professionals Association, SVASE, International Photographer's Association, and AAJA. She is also the South Asian Journalists Association Bay Area Chair Coordinator (SAJA) and a co-chair of ICC’s Community Partners’ Program. She lives in the San Francisco metropolitan area with her husband, Vikramaditya Gupta.
