"This beautifully crafted, emotional short story was absolutely breath-taking. Em's devastating loses pile up while her husband begins to buckle under the strain of maintaining a family environment. Their love, so deep and true was weighted by circumstances beyond their control. The sad ending had a positive twist that will leave the reader with a feeling of distant wonderment and hope. I really liked how the whole story came full circle around a big old oak tree on the family's property.

Megan Allen is a gifted writer and I highly recommend Memoirs of a Fallen Oak.
