Two thumbs WAYYYYYY up for the awesome, delightful and downright fun for all ages Flashlight Monsters Invade Hollywood. This scary creature feature features a hilarious rhyming story about a director's search for the perfect creepy crawler to appear in his movie. As he holds open auditions, plenty of spooky actor wanna-be's show up, including a monster with a very destructive tail, a two-headed freak with a bad attitude, a fire breathing dragon, Bill the Bat and Near-Monster Ned, a giant slug named Suzie, and other such notable ooky spookies.

Eventually, our determined director finds the perfect leading ghoulie for his movie, and the entire film crew rejoices. But our leading "monster" has a secret that just might make this blockbuster bust!

But the real fun belongs to the reader, for children and adults of all ages will get a kick out of the pop-up creatures that appear throughout the book. Pick up a flashlight and see monster shadows on the wall that will chill and thrill. And if that isn't enough, shine the light on the pop-up critters and watch them glow right back at you!

Mark Shulman's wacky story, told in a bouncy, light-hearted rhyme, is accompanied by the equally wacky and oh-so-imaginative illustrations of John S. Dykes, making this a true "must-see" sure to capture the hearts and imaginations of plenty of tykes and tykettes who love interactive books with a special touch.

So fear not those monsters beneath your bed. One of them just might be the next Tom Cruise!
