This delightful book gives a capsule summary of the beloved ballets of The Nutcracker, Cinderella, Swan Lake, Don Quixote, La Bayadère, Coppélia, Sleeping Beauty, Firebird, Giselle, and Romeo & Juliet. Most of these ballets have been performed in Moscow, several written by Russian playwrites, such as Tchaikovsky.

Each ballet has a capsule summary of the story. For myself, it was enlightening to finally learn the stories about The Nutcracker and Swan Lake. I know, I haven't kept up with my ballet.

Each ballet also contains a blurb about the origins of the story, when the ballet was first performed, and modifications to the story, such as Swan Lake which had a sad ending that wasn't popular so a happier ending was written for the ballet.

Each ballet is illustrated with colorful pictures detailing the balletic stories.

The wide world of the global economy is presented in this book. It was commissioned by the Moscow Ballet (together with Ballet Magazine) but was printed in Hong Kong. Massachussett's own Sports Marketing International coordinated the effort.

The book is ideal for any young girl interested in the ballet, ballerinas, or fairy tales.
