This book, subtitled "Educating Children About Money," sets out to teach children about finances, especially budgets, credit, saving, spending, and entrepreneurial ventures. The narrator discusses these financial tidbits as a small child watching one's parents might speak. There is a poetical cadence to the book.

Some neat little touches are appreciated by children. Tired of the boring old page numbers in the old, boring Arabic numerals? Are Roman numerals too blasé? Well this book makes the reader work at figuring out what page the reader is on. The page numbers are coded with coins-page one is a penny, page two two pennies, page five a nickel, page ten a dime, page fifteen a dime and a nickel, and so forth.
