Now that I am all grown up, I don't lose teeth anymore (Thank God!), but reading this book makes me wish I could, just so that I could perhaps catch a glimpse of the sassy, fiery red-haired little powerhouse called the Tooth Fairy.

In this absolutely delightful and eye-popping book, the Tooth Fairy is not at all what we think she is. No frilly pink tutus, no elf helpers. Why, instead, author Sheri Bell-Rehwoldt and illustrator David Slonim have created a truly unique, adorable and energetic Fairy that works alone, has grit as well as heart, and thinks quite highly of herself, if you don't mind.

Kids will love the colorful and whimsical illustrations, and the general sass and pizazz of the main character. No doubt, each time your child loses a tooth, they will wait in gleeful anticipation for this bold little Fairy to skateboard (or should I say, "toothboard") on into their rooms, weighed down in quarters, flexing her muscles and giving off that toothy attitude. Not to mention her amazing gadget, the "Tooth-o-Finder," a kind of LoJack for missing teeth that helps her identify kids all over the world in need of a visit, and a quarter or two under their pillow.

I rarely rate books ten out of ten, but this one takes the cake. If I could think up a great tooth-oriented cliché to describe just how much fun this book is, I'd do it. But suffice it to say, it will make you and your kids smile.
