The book claims to be a walk through the park. Is this a park in a zoo, or that spans the world? All kinds of exotic animals are found.

In color-highlighted text animals are featured for each letter of the Roman alphabet. Yes, there is an animal that starts with "X," but I'll stand aside and let you read that for yourself. Over 200 animals are gathered to represent the 26 letters.

The book doesn't really explain about the animals. Instead it goes alliterative in narrative as it tries to assemble all the animals in their respective initial letters in this book park. Drawings with captions help the child place names with animals. The colorful illustrations hold a child's attention. Anticipate a slow read as the child may want to study the pictures on a page before allowing mommy or daddy to turn the page and continue.

No age range is given, but smaller toddlers will enjoy looking at the pictures while mom/dad read the text. Beginning readers will enjoy reading this boo on their own as well.
