Although it is a dry state, when Matt Bodine and Sam Two Feathers visit Cottonwood, Kansas, it doesn't take Matt long to find a place to get a drink. The moonshiner's daughter is an eyeful, though, so while Matt is satisfying his thirst, his roving eye feasts on Frankie Harlowe.

Meanwhile, Sam is being recruited by the local sheriff, who also has a lovely young daughter named Hanna.

With each man entertaining the images of these two women (a fiery, pistol packing brunette in Matt's case and Sam's demure but equally ravishing blond), it looks like they may be staying put for awhile.

It's certainly a complicated situation when 200-proof corn liquor and intoxicating women are mixed together and it doesn't make it any easier when Sam and Matt seem to be on opposite sides of the law. But that's not just the half of it--trouble is heading for Cottonwood in another form.

A murderous bootlegger, a hired gunman and a gambler are about to alter the town's chemistry and the result will be an explosion of violence unlike anything the citizens have seen.

As six-guns start blazing, the smart money is on the cold, sober man who is not only handy with a pistol but is also backed by unbreakable bonds of blood. Those readers who have followed the adventures of this adventurous duo know who will still be standing when the smoke clears.

If you have a hankering for a solid western yarn, you can't do much better than grabbing a copy of Moonshine Massacre and settling down in your big, old, easy chair for a good read.
